How to store Miniatures?

One of the most important things when you have a lot of miniatures is how to store them.
The solution should meet these points:
-save the space of your room
-preserve and keep safe your miniatures
-find quicky what you need during a game.

There are a lot of different solutions...in the pictures below, is just how I store my minis..
the black cases have a double face and are easy to move. I divide miniatures for type..for example Demi-Humans and inside the case I divede between Halflings,Dwarfs, Elfs,etc..
the last pictures show an old typographer's cabinet that I use for metal and resin miniatures

  1. A great blog. As a DF fany myself there are some really nice layouts and inspiration in this blog.

I tend to have to travel to run games. So I use tool boxes to store my miniatures with differing types in differing trays. Similar in a way to your black and yellow cases.

The typographers cabinet is very neat. Not something easily found these days. But looks perfect for a home storage solution of figures.
